Modern Slavery Policy
Operator Licence Ltd is committed to acting ethically, responsibly and with integrity in its business activities. We oppose modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, human trafficking and exploitative labour practices in all forms. Although our business is consultancy-led and does not operate a large manufacturing or labour-intensive supply chain, we recognise that no sector is automatically free from modern slavery risk.
Our business and supply chain context
Our activities are focused on consultancy, website operation, business communications, digital systems and support services connected with transport and operator-licensing matters. The suppliers we use may include technology providers, hosting companies, software tools, contractors, design or marketing support, and other service-based partners. We expect those relationships to be approached responsibly and reviewed where concerns arise.
Our commitment
We aim to make reasonable and proportionate checks on the businesses and service providers we work with, particularly where services are ongoing or operationally important. We do not knowingly support exploitative labour arrangements and we expect anyone providing services to us, or on our behalf, to act lawfully and ethically.
Policies and working practices
We aim to keep our own working arrangements transparent, to use clear engagement terms and to avoid any hidden or misleading labour structures in our operations. If concerns are raised about a supplier, contractor or delivery route, we expect those concerns to be reviewed promptly and taken seriously. We may reconsider or end relationships where there is a credible concern that standards are not being met.
Risk awareness and due diligence
Our business model is relatively low risk when compared with labour-intensive sectors, but that does not remove the need for reasonable vigilance. We aim to work with reputable suppliers, use transparent commercial arrangements and avoid structures that obscure who is carrying out work, on what terms and under what conditions. If information comes to us suggesting exploitative practices, coercion, withheld pay, forced work or serious labour-abuse concerns, we expect that to trigger immediate internal review.
Reporting concerns
If a client, contractor, supplier or member of staff believes there is a modern slavery risk connected to our operations or supply chain, they should raise it with us directly so the concern can be considered. Concerns can be sent to info@operatorlicence.co.uk or through our contact page.
Review and guidance
We review this policy as part of a broader responsible-business approach and may update it where our supplier relationships, services or risk profile change. For official UK guidance on business expectations and transparency in supply chains, see the Home Office guidance on slavery and human trafficking in supply chains.
